1-Year outcome of TRIAS HR (TRI-stent Adjudication Study-High Risk of restenosis): A multicenter, randomized trial comparing genous endothelial progenitor cell capturing stents with drug-eluting stents
2011, JACC: Cardiovascular InterventionsCitation Excerpt :Nevertheless, longer-term clinical outcome demonstrated an interesting biological phenomenon after ECS implantation. In 2 studies, repeat angiography and intravascular ultrasound at 6 and 18 months after ECS implantation showed a significant late luminal loss reduction between the 2 angiograms (13,35). Therefore, for a full comparison of the clinical effectiveness between the ECS and DES, both the late remodeling of intimal hyperplasia tissue and the occurrence of late and very late ST requires long-term follow-up; in the TRIAS HR trial, clinical follow-up will be performed up to 5 years after the initial stent implantation.
