Definition of major bleeding, minor bleeding and thrombotic event

BleedingMajor bleedingFatal bleeding.
Symptomatic bleeding in a critical area and/or organ.
Bleeding causing a fall in haemoglobin level of ≥ 20 g/L.
Bleeding leading to blood transfusion.
Minor bleedingNoted in patients' medical records but did not meet major bleeding criteria.
Clinically objectified venous and/or arterial thromboembolic space-occupying lesion within the lumen of the cardiovascular system.
The occurrence of a clinical event known to be highly associated with a thrombotic event such as transient ischemic attack, stroke, myocardial infarction, and pulmonary embolism.
